Janata Dal (United) Legislature Party leader and Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso, inaugurating the party office at Papu Nallah on Saturday, appealed to the party leaders and workers to devote their time for nation-building.
Addressing the party leaders, supporters and party workers, Kaso said that despite being new in the State the JD(U) has reached the Assembly without any office and the opening of the office will benefit members immensely.
He urged all stakeholders to shoulder their duty for the development of the society and the State. He also asked the party workers to work dedicatedly for the party, reach the grassroots level and help the needy.
Asked about the slow pace of work on the Itanagar-Naharlagun road, Kaso hoped that the executing agency will hopefully stand on their commitment to complete the construction on time.
He urged the State government to expedite the process for approval of the scheme of Papu Nallah to Banderdewa road construction for whose DPR is still with the Centre.
Referring to the pathetic condition of the Hollongi-Itanagar and Papu Nallah-Yupia stretches of the TAH, Kaso said that he will request the deputy commissioners of both Capital Complex and Papum Pare and the Highway Department to repair the road for the convenience of the commuters.
With regard to abandoned RCC Bridge by the railways between Lekhi and Borum villages, Kaso said that he will enquire the matter and will contact the officials concerned.
“I appeal to the State government to help resume the work in the greater interest of the common passengers,” he said.
He added that the JD(U) is supporting the State government led by Pema Khandu and will continue to extend support for rapid development of the State on all fronts.
