The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig (Dr) B D Mishra (Retd) has appealed to the people for peace and amity in the State.

He said that Arunachalis has always demonstrated their rationality, sagacity and maturity in their conduct under all circumstances.
The Governor also urged upon the elders and elites of the society to come forward and advise the youth to display the Arunachali spirit and not to get swayed way by the spill over of the ‘bandh culture’ and eschew destruction of public property and vandalism, which are social evils and every one’s loss.
Mishra strongly condemned the violent activities carried out by some beguile persons. He said that aggression and destruction need strongest criticism in a civilized society.

The Governor advised the State Government to take all precautionary measures to check vandalism, stop violence and prevent unruly incidence.
Brig Mishra also condoled the unfortunate incidents of causalities in the violent incidents. He said that it is not only a painful loss to the family of the sufferers but a loss for the State as well.
