The Governor Brig (Dr.) BD Mishra (Retd) has conveyed his warm greetings to the people of the State and to all the Muslim brethren in India and abroad on the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
In his message, the Governor said that Eid-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the period of fasting during the holy month of Ramzan.
It is a month of prayers to seek blessings, forgiveness and benevolence of the Almighty for the entire humanity. Mercy of the Almighty is prayed for during this holy month, to enable us all to discard the thoughts and acts which may hurt anyone.
It is a Festival which reminds us of our obligations of charity and generosity towards the weak, forlorn, poor and underprivileged. This joyous Eid-ul-Fitr festival promotes peace, harmony, brotherhood and happy co-existence amongst the people, he further said.
May this Holy Eid-ul-Fitr festival further enhance the bonds and values of our society, the Governor wished.
