Arunachal education minister inaugurates NITTTR workshop

Arunachal education minister Honchun Ngandam on Thursday inaugurated the two-day regional workshop of National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research (NITTTR) at the Government Polytechnic in Namthung near here.

Lauding the efforts of NITTTR director, Ngandam said such occasional meets provide the right platform to hammer out solutions for the issues pertaining to the institutions including placement of jobs for the passed out students.

The minister assured every possible help towards strengthening the institutions and said the state government under the leadership of chief minister Pema Khandu is serious about the education sector and resultantly has brought in numerous changes.

Among others, local MLA Phurpa Tsering, West Kameng deputy commissioner Dr Sonal Swaroop, NITTTR director Professor Phalguni Gupta, Technical Education director Dr T Talom and programme coordinator for NITTTR Dr A K Mondal also deliberated in the inaugural session.

The consequent days of the workshop would witness presentations by training and placement officers, talks by industry persons and principals besides industry institute interactions.

Earlier in the morning, minister Ngandam accompanied by the local legislator visited Sarada Mission Khaso and the nearby government schools.

At Sarada Mission Khaso, Ngandam assured to pursue the chief minister for the committed Corpus Fund announced during the latter’s visit to the school in May last.

He also assured to make the necessary allocations to complete the half built school laboratory building being constructed under Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources Scheme.
