Arunachal Pradesh’s Namsai legislator Chou Zingnu Namchoom on Tuesday inaugurated two digital billboards.
He launched the billboards in presence of deputy commissioner Tapasya Raghav and superintendent of police Ankit Singh.
The two billboards were inaugurated at the second mile area and the other at the Town Club.
With the inauguration of the same, Namsai became the second district after Papum Pare to have digital billboards.
These digital billboards will now disseminate information on various welfare programmes of the State Government.
Speaking to the media, Namchoom said that the billboard will serve as a tool to create awareness among the people on various developments and government programmes.
Namsai being an educational hub and having abundant tourism potential, the billboards will help the local administration and government departments, particularly the education and tourism departments to spread awareness about their initiatives and events.
Deputy commissioner Raghav, while echoing the MLA, also expressed optimism that the digital billboards would be of much help to all.
The MLA later inaugurated a children’s park in the township.
The park has swings, slides, see- saws, spiral slides and other rides for children.
It also has an open air gym catering to the health enthusiasts of the district.
Namchoom stated that construction of such parks will promote health consciousness.
The deputy commissioner on the other hand highlighted the importance of creating such spaces to engage the public and children in physical activities.
