Pasighat: The Director General Border Roads (DGBR) reviewed the progress of ongoing strategic road and infrastructure projects in Arunachal Pradesh’s Shi-Yomi and Siang Valley regions during a visit to Project Brahmank on September 2.
Chief Engineer, Project Brahmank, Pankaj Goyal, briefed the DGBR on the status of construction, improvement and maintenance works, including progress achieved, challenges on the ground and measures being taken to meet project timelines.
The DGBR reviewed the quality and pace of construction and interacted with officers, subordinate staff and personnel of Project Brahmank. He stressed adherence to stipulated timelines while maintaining standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
The review also focused on challenges posed by the region’s difficult terrain, adverse weather and logistical constraints. The DGBR directed the project leadership to expedite critical works and ensure optimum utilisation of available resources.
He reiterated the Border Roads Organisation’s (BRO) commitment to strengthening and maintaining strategic infrastructure in border areas while improving connectivity and supporting socio-economic development in remote regions.
The visit also provided an assessment of ongoing works and identified areas requiring focused attention. Project Brahmank personnel reaffirmed their commitment to completing assigned works within the stipulated timeframe and maintaining the required quality standards.
