Changlang: The Changlang District Congress Committee (DCC) and Changlang District Youth Congress in Arunachal Pradesh staged a protest rally at the Moh-Mol festival ground on Saturday, demanding a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) investigation into the alleged “Adani mega scam.”

In addition to the JPC, the Congress party also reiterated its call for a caste census conducted by the central government and urged for full and genuine respect for the Indian Constitution, particularly its provisions on economic, social, and political justice.

Addressing the rally, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Tarh Johny alleged a “Modi-Adani nexus” and demanded the immediate formation of a JPC to thoroughly investigate the alleged Adani scam.

He said that the caste census, as advocated by Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, is not merely a document but a blueprint for ensuring social, economic, and political equality for all sections of society.

Johny further called for genuine respect for the Indian Constitution, emphasizing the importance of equality of opportunity for all individuals, regardless of their social, economic, or political background.

He also urged the Arunachal Pradesh and Assam governments to immediately repair the dilapidated Margherita-Namdang road, a 10-kilometer stretch that has become a nightmare for daily commuters.
