The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday released a 38-point ‘charge sheet’ against the BJP-led government at the State and Centre.
The charge sheet, which was released by party president Takam Sanjoy at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan here, mentions various issues related to the state and country including the recent Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issue, Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) scam, Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016, demonetization and Rafale scam among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjoy said the BJP is peddling lies and celebrating failure in the state and country.
“The BJP government has brought mis-governance, arrogance and intolerance in the state and country and has been betraying the people for almost five years now. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi government promised ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ but in reality it is ‘Kuch ka saath, Khud Ka Vikas,” Sanjoy said, while clarifying that the charge sheet is not a criminal, but a political one.
Sanjoy also alleged that “PM Modi made a series of false promises to the people of the country while state chief minister Pema Khandu on the other hand has been siphoning off people’s money.”

The prime minister had promised two crore jobs every year in his election campaign but data from the Government, however, indicates that job growth is at the lowest levels in a decade. Back in the state, the chief minister is playing with the sentiments of its people, the Congress chief said.
Sanjoy said the state government has murdered democratic institutions like the municipal council and panchayat.
“Had the municipal authority existed, the recent anti-PRC agitation in the state capital could have been controlled to the least,” he said, adding that the state government was also not implementing the exact rules of 7th Central Pay Commission.
The Congress also charged the BJP government on the Citizenship Bill and termed it the most draconian bill ever to be introduced in the country, besides taking a dig on GST, religious intolerance and many other issues.
