Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has committed to reform the corrupt systems in his government through transparent conduct of the officials activities by introducing third party monitoring mechanism.
Attending a BJP meeting at Seren village (Nari-Koyu) bordering to Assam on Saturday, Khandu said his government has taken step to punish the erring officials, who are involved with malpractices in the recruitment of job under Staff Selection Board and land compensation scam in Trans Arunachal Highway construction projects.

Khandu alleged that Congress party, which ruled Arunachal Pradesh for more than 30 years, used the region as ‘money minting’ machine thereby exploited on the natural resources.
But, the ruling BJP government has brought major development in terms of road, railway and air way connectivity to the region.
“Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, union ministers have visited the state for more than 200 times during last five years, which has encouraged us to achieve all round development in the frontier state”, said Khandu.

He also said his government is committed to harness natural resources for economic growth.
Khandu informed that he has ordered SIC investigation into the alleged corruption in land compensation in Putin-Mopi highway construction, wherein more than 100 fake beneficiaries received compensation showing their land acquisition.
“I have ordered to repay the amountsto State Exchequer and step has been taken to punish the erring officials, who helped the fraudsters to loot government money”, he informed.
Speaking about Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)-2019, Khandu said the act was passed by Union Government to provide citizenship to some sections, who were victimized by religious persecution.
He said the BJP led Central government, owing the unique identity and traditional practices of the tribals living in northeastern states, has exempted Arunachal Pradesh and few other NE states from purview of the act (CAA).
Among others, East Arunachal Lok Sabha MP Tapir Gao, MLA cum Arunachal State BJP president Biyuram Wahge addressed the gathering.
