Kumar Maowang Wangham, a class 5 student of VKV Niausa in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh, bagged the prestigious Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Ignite award.
Wangham was awarded for his model ‘life jacket with an oxygen mask’.

Former president Pranab Mukherjee presented the awards to the winners at the NIF’s Gandhinagar office in Gujarat on Saturday.
Maowang was the youngest student among those who have received the award.
Over 90,000 submissions of students from 643 districts of all the states and union territories of India were received during the Ignite 2018 competition, which ran from 1 September, 2017, to 31 August, 2018.
