Arunachal Pradesh BJP secretary Nalong Mize on Monday launched Seva Saptah, a week-long campaign to mark the 70th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the City BJP’s office in Itanagar.

Prime Minister Modi is turning 70 on September 17 this year.

Addressing the party leaders and karyakartas on the occasion, Mize said the Seva Saptah (service week), which would be observed till September 20, would witness the state BJP organize several cleanliness and plantation programmes across the state.

“We would also organize blood donation camps and fruit distribution programmes at various hospitals while special programmes for the divyangjans (persons with disabilities) would also be conducted to mark the celebrations, Mize said.

The BJP general secretary said besides the social activities, the party will be conducting virtual meetings and awareness programmes on the far-reaching benefits of ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ programmes launched by Prime Minister Modi.

“All the programmes are being organized to honour the selfless service rendered by our prime minister to the nation,” Mize said.

Among others, BJP general secretary (media in-charge) Tadar Niglar, Seva Saptah convener Tarh Tarak and co-convener Jhunty Singpho were also present during the launch.
