Guwahati: Arunachal Pradeshโ€™s 8th Legislative Assembly Business Advisory Committee (BAC) has finalised the schedule and priorities for the stateโ€™s sixth budget session, running from March 6 to 12.

The panel went over upcoming legislative proposals and government initiatives to make sure the session runs efficiently.

Speaker Tesam Pongte Tutsa led the meeting, with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona, Deputy Speaker Kardo Nyigyor, and members Kumar Waii, Thangwang Wangham, Nikh Kamin, and Oken Tayeng in attendance.

Before the BAC session, the Rules Committee of the assembly met for its second sitting under Speaker Tutsaโ€™s chairmanship.

The members discussed updates to the Comprehensive Study Book of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business, focusing on guidelines for the assemblyโ€™s various committees.

The proposed amendments were approved to enhance the efficiency and clarity of legislative work, and the committeeโ€™s report will be formally presented for adoption during the budget session.

Several MLAs, including Ninong Ering, Wanglin Lowangdong, and Thangwang Wangham, joined the meeting, along with Advocate General Indraneel Choudhury and senior assembly officers such as Secretary Tadar Meena, Additional Secretary Agaab Mossang, Deputy Secretary Longman Ronrang, and Undersecretary Kheto Lowang.
