The East Kameng district administration of Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with the East Kameng Social Welfare and Cultural Organization (EKSWCO) on Monday convened a series of meetings at the Donyi Nyele Namlo at Seppa to conceptualize a vision document on a novel initiative titled ‘I Love Seppa Campaign’.
I Love Seppa Campaign, a brainchild of East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Singh Rajawat and his team is scheduled to be launched in the entire township soon.
Some of the activities under the campaign like, wall painting have already started on ground.
Elaborating in detail about the aims, objectives and seven main components of the campaign, which include ‘I LOVE Cleanliness, I OBEY Laws and Rules, I WANT a Beautiful Seppa, I SUPPORT Women Empowerment, I SAY No to Drugs and Tobacco, I ENSURE 100 per cent Immunization and No Malnutrition, and I WANT Zero Dropouts from Schools,’ DC Rajawat urged every stakeholders to shoulder their responsibilities collectively on mission mode for successful realization of the targets under the campaign.
Appealing the denizens not to pour negative remarks against their own district in various platforms, Rajawat requested the participants to involve zealously and suggest positive inputs for successful implementation of the programme.
Further urging the stakeholders to work in tandem and to go the extra mile in showcasing the true potential of the district, the DC also made an appeal for mass awareness of the campaign so as to bring positive changes in the mindset of the people towards a holistic development of the district.
SP Vikas Kumar, DRDA project Dahey Sangno and WRD executive engineer Pai Dawe also spoke in the meeting.
Representatives of Women’s Welfare Organization, Bazar Welfare Society, Mothers’ Group, NGOs and student unions and people from all walks of life took active part in the discussion and suggested progressive ideas.
Pledge to love and respect the Mother Earth by supporting and promoting the campaign wholeheartedly was also taken during the event.
The request of the Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society to incorporate ‘I Love Girl Child Campaign’ into the I Love Seppa Campaign was also accepted during the discussion.
