Ace mountaineer from Arunachal Pradesh – Anshu Jamsenpa has been honoured with Padma Shri award.
President Ram Nath Kovind gave away the Padma Shri award to Anshu Jamsenpa at a function in the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Tuesday.

Anshu Jamsenpa hails from Bomdila in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.
In 2017, Jamsenpa became the first woman in the world to scale the summit of Mount Everest twice in a season the first to do so within 5 days.
It is the fastest double ascents of the tallest crest by a woman. This was her fifth summit and thus she became the most time climbed Indian woman.
