A total of 38 personnel of the 171 D-Coy of Miao-based CRPF camp in Changlang district tested positive for COVID19 on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, the COVID19 tally of Bordumsa in Changlang district reached 37 after 7 new infections were detected on Thursday during the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
Six of a family including a two-year-old child residing in the ADC colony and one elderly neighbour tested positive for COVID19 on Thursday at Bordumsa.

According to sources, all the cases are asymptomatic and in good condition.
In the last 5 days Bordumsa has witnessed a rapid surge in positive cases which began initially with 5 cases on July 24.
“A businessman and his family members tested positive today,” said the Changlang deputy commissioner on Thursday, adding, “Contract tracing and RAT in all vulnerable rural pockets are being effectively launched.”
“In view of rising cases, the district administration has decided to enhance the containment period in Bordumsa and is drawing a mechanism for home delivery of edible items,” the DC said.
Meanwhile, Dr Gumlat Maio, a doctor at the Bordumsa CHC, who is leading the health team in the fight against COVID19 pandemic at the health centre, said, “Of the total 68 tests conducted today, 7 of a family tested positive.”
