Even as Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh is comparatively calm after the over three-day mayhem that erupted after anti-PRC protests, tales of woes continue to haunt the residents.
The most affected lot are the 300 odd employees of Sohum Shoppe, majority of whom are local youths.

Interacting with media in the aftermath of the violence that left the entire shopping complex in Itanagar completely ravaged and plundered, they were of the opinion that the protests have left them unemployed, according to reports.
They were of the view that their families are dependant on them and they are meeting the basic necessities of their household with whatever salary they used to get.
But now even that is gone. With the entire shopping complex in ruins and literally empty with most of the things looted, it will take quite some time for the owners to fix the place.

They cannot even look for alternative employment immediately. Though the owners have assured them of paying for these days too, they are staring at uncertain days ahead.
The same is the case with a couple of others showrooms in the city also where arson and looting took place when violence erupted.
Those shops have also closed down their shutters and it is uncertain as to when the same will be open.
Till then, the employees of these showrooms and shops are rendered jobless and penniless.
