Arunachal Pradesh has reported 165 new COVID-19 positive cases.
These 165 new cases have been detected after conducting tests of 3692 samples.
While 32 of the cases are symptomatic, 133 other cases are asymptomatic.
Moreover, 17 patients, who were earlier infected by COVID-19, have been discharged after their recovery from the disease.
So far, a total of 17038 people have recovered from the disease.
The recovery rate has dropped to 94.33%.

Arunachal Pradesh currently has 966 active COVID-19 cases.
The state’s positivity rate stands at 5.35%.
The state’s death rate stands at 0.32%.
Meanwhile, the Arunachal Pradesh government has directed all higher educational institutions including colleges, universities and polytechnics to close down from May 1 in view of the rapidly deteriorating COVID-19 situation.
All colleges, universities and polytechnics will remain closed from May until further orders as per the notifications issued by the Arunachal Pradesh government.

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu recently appealed the people of the state to get themselves registered for COVID-19 vaccination.
COVID-19 infections have been multiplying in Arunachal Pradesh in recent days.
