Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh Satya Gopal reviewed the progress and status of old projects under Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) and North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS) at the State Level Executive Committee (SLEC) meeting held at the Civil Secretariat in Itanagar on Tuesday.

Ravindra Chaudhary, Director, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) was present during the SLEC meeting. All projects such as a high altitude sports complex at Tawang, construction of a sports complex at Jengging, establishment of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya at Changlang under Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources scheme, augmentation of water supply at Boleng township and augmentation of water supply to Pasighat township from Sirpo source, water supply at JNV Roing and construction of road from Magopam to Bichom via Namfri, Ditching, Sacheda, Ramu Soto and Lichi Phase-II and all other infrastructure developments were reviewed during the meeting.

Gopal asked the chief engineers not to deviate from the laid down guidelines and follow the rule of law in implementation and execution of the works. He emphasised on quality work and to avoid any kind of discrepancies he directed the concerned executing departments to submit geo-tagged photographs, latest quarterly project reports, inspection reports, utilisation certificates and copy of the tender(s) floated in papers to the DoNER for early release of funds.

All commissioners, secretaries, and chief engineers concerned were present in the meeting. The Chief Secretary on the day also sat for a meeting of the State Task Force on Mobility with the Transport Department. Gopal during the sitting asked the department to come out with innovative ideas to improve the conventional mobility of the State and to take it to a whole different level, where it is practical, cheap yet has strong last line connectivity.
