In an order issued by the ministry of home affairs, government of India, on Tuesday, the Directors General of Police (DGPs) in Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Puducherry have been transferred with immediate effect.
The order issued by Rakesh Kumar, under secretary to the government of India, stated that the IPS officers of Joint Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGUMT) cadre have been transferred with the approval of the competent authority.
Among the three IPS officers, who have been transferred include S.B.K. Singh, an IPS officer of AGMUT cadre of 1988 batch, who has been serving as the DGP of Arunachal Pradesh, has been transferred as the DGP of Mizoram.
Balaji Shrivastava, an IPS officer of AGMUT cadre of 1988 batch, who has been serving as the DGP, Mizoram, has been transferred as the DGP, Puducherry.
On the other hand, S. Sundari Nanda, an IPS officer of AGMUT cadre of 1988 batch, who has been serving as the DGP, Puducherry, has been transferred to the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.
Meanwhile, through the same order, Rajender Pal Upadhyaya, an IPS officer of AGMUT cadre of the 1991 batch, has been given the charge of the DGP, Arunachal Pradesh with immediate effect and until further orders.
“Rajender Pal Upadhyaya, IPS (AGMUT: 1991) will hold the charge of DGP, Arunachal Pradesh with immediate effect and until further orders,” the MHA order said.
