The Arunachal Pradesh government has launched a chief minister fellowship scheme to involve young students from reputed institutes in key initiatives of the state government departments.

The participants of the fellowship programme will be given access to various – divisions/units within the state government. They are expected to supplement the process of analysis within finance, planning & investment department, through empirical collection and other information.

The purpose of this scheme is to make the participants understand various functions of public administration and prepare them for greater leadership roles in future.

The period of fellowship will be at least eleven months and will not exceed two years.

The participants will be paid a handsome remuneration of Rs 70,000 per month during the period of the fellowship programme.

All the participants will be issued certificates by the state government after successful completion of the fellowship programme.

Candidates having a master’s degree in any discipline with minimum three years of work experience or a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 5 years of work experience will be eligible for the fellowship programme.

Candidates should also have 60 per cent in both under graduation and post graduation to be eligible for the programme.
