With news of the Indian Air Force (IAF) trying to locate the AN-32 aircraft in Arunachal Pradesh becoming viral throughout the nation, there are still some unsung local heroes of the state whose tiring efforts for helping in search of the aircraft are worth mentioning.

As per reports, a 40-year-old man of the Adi tribe of Arunachal Pradesh known as T Yubi was the main hero who sought to go fearlessly for finding about the whereabouts of the AN-32 aircraft.
Hailing from Kaying village of Siang district, Yubi, popularly known as ‘Local Tarzan’, equipped with food, set out for finding the location of the AN-32 aircraft on foot alone on June 4 last.
In order to provide support to Yubi, the Siang district administration authorities selected some residents of Kaying and Payum circles of Siang district and set them up in two teams and made them to go on the search operation of the AN-32 aircraft.

However, with no news of the discovery of AN-32 aircraft, a number of security personnel and local people had been deployed by the district authorities in order to strengthen the search operation of the aircraft.
The district administration later began to renew their search operations towards Payum after a resident of the village Tadut Tasang said that he spotted the aircraft to be moving towards Tuting Loyar range.
On confirming the same with other villagers of Payum, the district administration later selected two Mount Everest conquerors Taka Tamut and Kishon Tekseng along with other mountaineers to continue the search for the aircraft.
After Tamut and Tekseng got a whiff from the villagers that they had seen the aircraft moving towards Gaseng village, they set out for the village for getting more information.
The villagers of Gaseng said that they had seen the aircraft moving towards a mountain range called Pari Adi.
Tamut and Tekseng along with the IAF forces had finally been successful in spotting the crash site of the AN-32 aircraft.
The wreckage has been spotted 16 kliomtres north of Lipo of northeast Tato in the State.
