Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retired) BD Mishra on Tuesday urged the ward councilors in Itanagar to send a message to the senior residents to teach their children how to remain clean and be part of the ‘Clean Itanagar’ mission.

Arunachal Governor Mishra made this appeal while participating in a cleanliness drive in the Lower Niti Vihar area of Itanagar on Tuesday as part of his continued mission of ‘Clean Itanagar’ – a mission to keep Itanagar clean.
In the cleanliness drive, the Governor was also joined by the officials of the Raj Bhavan, Itanagar.
Interacting with the residents of the places, where the cleanliness drive was conducted, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Mishra appealed to them to participate in the drive and make it a habit for them and keep their surroundings clean.

The Arunachal Pradesh Governor also advised the proprietors of business houses to keep their premises clean and tidy.
Governor Mishra while talking to the locals also emphasised on waste disposal and installation of dustbins in front of the shops and housing complexes in Itanagar, the State capital of Arunachal Pradesh.
Secretary (General Administration), Arunachal Pradesh, Azimul Haque and Inspector General of Police, Arunachal Pradesh, Nabin Payeng along with a number of women from Dia Dasa Self Help Group, officials and workers of Itanagar Municipal Council led by its ward councillor Donik Tayu and other volunteers enthusiastically participated in the day’s cleanliness drive.
