National Civil Services Day was celebrated on Saturday across Arunachal Pradesh in a befitting manner.
In Yingkiong, participating in the programme to mark the day, Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner Duly Kamduk urged all government employees in the district to be dedicated in carrying out their responsibilities on time.

Kamduk also gave away appreciation letters to officers and officials for their commendable performances in their respective fields.

In Tezu, DC (in-charge) Kajal Karmakar spoke on the roles, duties and responsibilities of government officers in service deliverance.
Stressing the need to ensure that central and state flagship programmes reach the villagers, he advocated coordination between all departments for better implementation of the programmes.
In Hawai, field officers and officials were felicitated. Anjaw DC Mamata Riba urged the district’s government servants to rededicate themselves to public welfare. She also reviewed the achievements of various departments during the previous year.
ADC B Tawsik enumerated the targets set by the central and state governments for completion of projects, and said it is the duty of the departments to achieve the targets despite the district’s tough geographical terrains.
In Pasighat, the day was celebrated at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Retired civil servants Oshong Ering, Tani Ering, Obang Dai, Tahong Mibang and Oti Dai were felicitated on the occasion.
ADC Taddo Borang called upon the civil servants to keep learning new administrative plans and policies for better service delivery to the people and to attain the goal of inclusive development.
Attending the celebration in Khonsa, advisor to Chief Minister, Wanglin Lowangdong urged the civil servants to rededicate themselves to the cause of the people and renew their commitment to public service.
The civil servants must maintain impartiality while discharging duty, Lowangdong said, and urged them to live up to the people’s expectation.
Tirap DC PN Thungon spoke about the roles and responsibilities of a civil servant and exhorted all the government employees to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication.
Thirteen government employees of the district were awarded for their sincerity and dedicated services.
