In its efforts towards the upliftment of the underprivileged, the Red Horns Division of Indian Army under it’s SADHBHAVNA initiative constructed and dedicated a shelter for girls orphanage in New Hathipota village in Bilasipara, Dhubri on Tuesday.
The project had been conceived considering the lack of infrastructure and poor living conditions of the girls in the orphanage.
In a colourful ceremony on Tuesday, the community hall was inaugurated by Sarfaraz Haque, SDO Bilasipara in the presence of locals and officials of civil administration and Army.
Addressing the locals, SDO Bilasipara acknowledged the efforts of Army in ensuring peace as well as contributing towards the development of society.
He further urged the girls and the orphanage staff to utilize and maintain the infrastructure built for them.
