The 3rd battalion of the Naga Regiment has been conferred with the Chief of Army Staff Unit Citation on the occasion of Army Day 2021.
The battalion has been conferred the citation in recognition of their outstanding and meritorious contributions.

The Naga Regiment was raised on November 1, 1970.
The 3rd battalion of the Naga Regiment, the youngest battalion in the regiment, was raised in 2009.
The battalion is among the 23 different units of the Indian Army “chosen for the coveted honour on the occasion of the Army Day-2021, said a press release issued by Colonel Prakash Bhatt (Retd), former additional DIG of Assam Rifles.

The award will be presented by the Chief of the Army Staff, General Manoj Mukund Naravane during the Army Parade day in New Delhi on Friday.
The commanding officer of the 3rd battalion of the Naga Regiment, Colonel Bimlesh, will receive the citation.
Army Day is celebrated on January 15 every year.
