“A strong team of APCC marched to the house of Rahul Gandhi urging upon him to continue as Congress president at this critical juncture,” said Bora.
Meanwhile, senior Congress leader K C Venugopal said that Rahul Gandhi himself is taking the decision. “All Congressmen are requesting him to withdraw his decision to quit from the position of party president,” said Venugopal.
“I would not say that he is adamant but still he has made it clear that he will not continue as the president,” said Venugopal.
