Party is not over yet for ‘Alifa’.
Alifa bagged the best film on national integration in the Assam State Film Awards which were given away on Sunday at the Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra auditorium in Guwahati.

Notably, Baharul Islam had bagged the best actor award for the movie for the year 2016-17.
A special felicitation was also accorded to the producer of the movie Armaan Ahmed and director Deep Choudhury for winning the National Film Awards for Alifa at the 64th National Film Awards.
The producer and the director of Alifa were felicitated by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Assam Cultural Affairs Minister Naba Kumar Doley.
Earlier, Jaya Seal had bagged the best actor (female) for her portrayal of ‘Fatima’ at the Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival held in the month of June.
Another actor with prowess, Prasun Gayen got the viewers’ choice award for Alifa in same festival.
Jaya’s startling act had also won several hearts across Assam and West Bengal and also at several other places where the movie was screened.
‘Alifa’ details a slice of Guwahati in present times and delves much deeper into the existentialism of human being on planet Earth.
