India’s five-time Boxing champion Mary Kom on Friday called on superstar Rajinikanth at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai. Mary Kom was in Chennai to attend an event organised by Latha Rajinikanth as the chief guest.
Later, the boxing champ met Rajinikanth and even clicked a picture together striking her trademark boxing pose. He has shared some images with the actor on Twitter.
Rajini recently completed shooting for his upcoming movie Petta and is all set for the release of his next, Shankar’s 2.0 on November 29. The trailer of 2.0 will release on November 3.
Mary Kom was on Thursday named as the brand ambassador of the upcoming 10th edition of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Women World Championship.
The Ace boxer on Thursday posted a video on Twitter; where she is seen fighting a ‘friendly’ match with sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
In the video, the Kom, can be seen in the clip throwing light punches, laughing and giving tips and tricks to Rathore inside the Indira Gandhi Stadium in the capital.
Rathore apparently surprised her while she was practising and even showed her some of his moves, outside the ring.
