In a major road mishap which took place near Mayodia, located about 56 km away from Roing in Arunachal Pradesh, a total of seven men were killed and four others were injured, two critically as the vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell in a gorge.

Sources said, “The incident took place about 12 at noon when the Bolero car, bearing registration No AS 23 Q 1088, carrying 11 men skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Mayodia resulting in death of seven persons on the spot.”

Sources also added, “Two other persons were critically injured who have been shifted to Dibrugarh for treatment while two other persons had received minor injuries.”

Sources further informed that all the persons were residents of Habjan Basti in Dumduma of Tinsukia district.
