Dibrugarh Cricket Coaching Centre and Phoenix Cricket Club registered victory in their respective matches on the inaugural day of the 3rd edition of the JKM Trophy of Excellence-All India Day-Night Cricket Tournament organised by the Cricket Club of Dibrugarh at the DDSA Stadium on Sunday.

The Dibrugarh Cricket Coaching Centre beat Duliajan Cricket Academy by 46 runs.

Opting to bat, the Dibrugarh Cricket Coaching Centre scored 112 runs for five in 15 overs.

For the Dibrugarh Cricket Coaching Centre, Dipu Chetry scored 34 runs and Arindam Baruah contributed 34 runs for the Centre.

For the Duliajan Cricket Academy, Javed Khan and Ajay Gohain took two wickets each.

In reply, Duliajan Cricket Academy scored 66 runs for eight in 15 overs. Manobjyoti Barman of Duliajan Cricket Academy scored 17 runs.

Dipen Gogoi and Mousuf Shah took two wickets each for the Dibrugarh Cricket Coaching Centre.

Mousuf Shah was adjudged the man of the match.

In another match, Phoenix Cricket Club defeated Jalukpara Boys’ Club by 7 runs.

Phoenix Cricket Club scored 112 runs for seven in 16 overs. Yasir Ali for Phoenix Cricket Club contributed 41 runs.

For Jalukpara Boys’ Club, Nanak Singh took four wickets.

In reply, Jalukpara Boys’ Club scored 105 runs for nine in 16 overs. Hem Bahadur chipped in with 42 runs.

For Phoenix Cricket Club, Rajinder Lal bagged four wickets. Rajinder was adjudged the man of the match.

During the inaugural ceremony, Muktabul Hussain, Joint Secretary of Assam Cricket Association, was present as the Chief Guest along with Surjeet Singh Panesar, Additional Superintendent of Police, Dibrugarh, who was present ast the Guest of Honour.

Sudhangshu Gupta, DBWS, Northeast Frontier Railway, chief workshop manager, was also present at the inaugural ceremony.
