Guwahati: As states gear up for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura got a major boost after 287 members from the opposition CPI (M) and Congress joined the saffron party on Sunday.
The joining of all the members took place at the BJP headquarters in Agartala.

All the key BJP state leaders including party president Rajib Bhattacharjee and state minister Ratanlal Nath were present during this process.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha held crucial discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda in New Delhi.
Taking to Facebook, Dr. Saha shared insights from his meeting with Nadda, expressing optimism about the electoral prospects. “Glad to meet the Hon’ble National President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shri J.P. Nadda Ji, at the New Parliament Building, New Delhi. We deliberated on the upcoming #LokSabhaElections2024 and the organizational intricacies of the state. Tripura is committed to flourishing with two lotuses again for #ModiAgainIn2024,” he conveyed.
