AIZAWL: Two Myanmar-based Zo ethnic organisations- Zomi Re-Unification (ZRO) and Chin National Front (CNF) signed an agreement to end the inter-organisational feud on Saturday.
With the initiative of the Zo Re-Unification Organisation (ZORO), talks between the two organisations were held in Aizawl, Mizoram.

The two organisations signed a three-point agreement to end inter-organisational feuds and differences by reaffirming the blood relationship of both the Chin and Zomi people in Myanmar.
They also agreed to stop armed clashes between cadres of their armed wings.
The two organisations also agreed to hold talks in the near future to restore lasting peace between them.

In May, there were intense armed clashes between ZRO’s armed wing Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) and Chin National Army (CNA), an armed wing of CNF in Myanmar due to a misunderstanding leading to the death of some cadres.
ZORO, an Aizawl-based Mizo group representing all ethnic Zo tribes of India, Myanmar and Bangladesh, volunteered to broker peace and end the feud between the two ZRO and CNF.
