India takes on Bangladesh today in crucial Super 8 clash in T20I WC

Guwahati: The Indian cricket team will take on Bangladesh in Antigua’s Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, West Indies on Saturday in a crucial Super 8 clash in the ongoing T20I World Cup 2024.

India have already won their first Super 8 clash with Afghanistan on Thursday by 47 runs whereas Bangladesh lost their first Super 8 clash against Australia.

If India manages to win on Friday it is certain to make it to the Semi Finals of the tournament.

For the Bangladesh team, it will be a do-or-die situation because a loss against India will quash their hopes of reaching the Semis.

According to West Indian great Brian Lara, it will be imperative for Bangladesh to counter Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah if they want to have any chance of winning against India.

He warned the Bangladeshi batsmen to be wary of attacking the Indian pacer as that would eventually lead to their dismissal.

Lara said that Bangladesh has to ensure that they don’t give any wickets to Bumrah and don’t play any attacking shots against him. They just have to ensure that Bumrah doesn’t cause any damage to their batting lineup.

The match starts at 8 pm India time and 10.30 am Antigua time.
