India and Bhutan unveil special logo to mark 50 years of formal diplomatic relations between both countries

Sushma Swaraj, India’s External Affairs Minister and Lyonpo Damcho Dorji Bhutan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs unveiled a special logo for the Golden Jubilee celebrations of establishment of formal diplomatic relations between India and Bhutan in Delhi and Thimpu.

The logo unveiled through a video-conference was to mark the launch of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of 50 years of friendship between the two nations.

On the occasion, Sushma Swaraj said that exemplary ties of friendship and cooperation between India and Bhutan are built on shared values and priorities, utmost trust and understanding, mutual respect and sensitivity to each other’s interests.

The Minister used the occasion to call for the renewed commitment and efforts from all stakeholders to realize the full potential of the India-Bhutan partnership for mutual benefit.

Apart from the high-level exchanges, both countries have planned a series of special commemorative initiatives, cultural activities, exhibitions and seminars throughout the year, to commemorate this milestone.
