Bhutanese Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering who was in India for the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Cabinet reached his home country on Saturday.

On his arrival in Paro, Dr Tshering has expressed his happiness at being able to attend the ceremony in New Delhi.
According to reports, the Bhutanese Prime Minister while interacting with media had said that since the Bhutan Kings in the past have paved the road of this friendship and because of a very good relationship between the two countries, ‘we had a very good meeting’.
He also apprised that he had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Bhutan.
Dr Tshering was further quoted as saying that after the Cabinet meeting of Modi government 2.0, all the ministers were introduced to him and other heads of the states present on the occasion.
The Bhutan Prime Minister was further quoted as saying that the neighbouring country had the opportunity to do many important works with the Indian counterparts and that the latter had also assured to work together for the next five years.
He also said that several ministers who have good relation with Bhutan are once again elected as ministers and it will be ‘comfortable to work together’.
While in India, the Bhutanese Prime Minister met foreign secretary Vijay Gokhale and a team from India-Bhutan Association upon his arrival in India on Thursday last.
This was Dr Tshering’s second visit to India after assuming office in November last year.
