Bhairabkunda with her unmatched scenic beauty is ready to welcome picnic lovers, with the onset of new year and picnic season . It is popular picnic hot spot of the state located 137 kms away. Bhairabkunda located in  Udalguri, has been a tourist destination for a long time. It is a picturesque triangular border of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Bhutan.

Thousands of people visit the place every year to enjoy nature. The Jampani River, originating in Bhutan and Bhairabi river merge in this place to form the Dhanshiri river. A walk through the streets of Daifam, a small Bhutan township is a memorable experience. One can easily experience the thrill of visiting a foreign country without passport or visas by visiting this place. There are also some trekking trails in the area that people can experience.

Bhairabkunda Eco Tourism and Conservation Society have taken up initiatives for the convenience of the visitors. The society members have already cleaned up the site with better waste management.

“More than a thousand people visit Bhairabkunda daily during picnic season. We have taken all precautionary measures so that the traffic or any untoward incident can be thwarted. All the picnic teams would be briefed about maintenance of cleanliness and peace at the time of their arrival.” , B. Narzari a society member informed.
