Bhutan on Thursday registered a total of 5 more COVID19 positive case taking the total count of the country to 20.
While samples of four persons tested positive in the morning, the sample of another person found positive for COVID19 at night on Thursday.

Sharing the information about detection of the latest positive case on his Twitter handle, Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering said: “Latest: The PCR test conducted late this evening has detected one COVID-19 case.”
The Prime Minister revealed that the latest infected case is 30-year-old man who returned to the country from Qatar.
The man has been in a quarantine facility in Thimpu, the national capital of Bhutan.

Prime Minister Tshering informed that now the infected patient will be shifted to the isolation centre.
“The 30 year old male returned from Qatar and is in a quarantine facility in Thimphu. He will be shifted to the isolation center,” said PM Lotay Tshering.
“With this, a total of 20 cases have been recorded so far,” he added.
A total of 99 samples were tested for COVID19 out of which 25 were that of males and 74 were of females.

Prime Minister Tshering informed that earlier the PCR test on Thursday revealed detection of four new COVID19 cases.
“They are all females, who have come from Dubai. They are in quarantine facilities,” informed the Prime Minister.
“Health ministry announced four positive cases in the morning. With this, a total of 19 cases are recorded so far,” said Prime Minister revealed earlier.
Bhutan recorded that the first COVID19 positive case on March 5, 2020.
The patient was a 76-year-old US tourist who arrived in the country via Guwahati.
“We would like to inform the public that one positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed at 11 p.m. on March 5, and the result was validated at 12.30 a.m. on March 6,” Xinhua news agency had quoted Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering as saying.
