Assam Police archer Pallabi Das wins another gold, 1 silver in China

Assam Police archer Pallabi Das continues her winning spree at the World Police & Fire Games 2019 in China’s Chengdu.

After winning gold in the Traditional event recently, the Indian archer from Assam has won two more medals at the World Police & Fire Games 2019 in Chengdu.

Pallabi Das is engaged in the Special Branch of Assam Police.

The two other medals won by Pallabi Das include one gold and one silver.

She has won these medals in Field and 3D Archery at the World Police & Fire Games 2019.

With these win, the medal tally of Pallabi Das increased to three.

Informing about her win, the Assam Police on its Twitter handle stated: “It’s Thundering Medals!”

“Smti. Pallavi Das of SB wins two more medals in Field and 3D Archery at the World Police & Fire Games, China,” it stated.

“Her medal tally stands at 3 – Two Gold and One Silver. You’ve made us all proud, Pallavi!” it added.

Earlier, Pallabi Das had won gold medal in Traditional by scoring 388.

It may be mentioned that Assam Police’s another athlete Tunlai Narzary also won gold recently at the World Police & Fire Games 2019.

Tunlai Narzary had won the gold medal in shot put.

Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has congratulated both Pallabi Das and Tunlai Narzary for bringing laurels to Assam and the country.

Narzary is engaged in the 20th Assam Police (IR) Battelion.

After her win, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had congratulated her.

Chief Minister Sonowal while congratulating Narzary had tweeted: “Heartiest Congratulations to our very own Smti. Tunlai Narzary of 20th AP(IR)Bn on winning the Gold Medal in Shot Put at the World Police & Fire Games, Chengdu, China.”

Sonowal further tweeted: “An absolutely stellar performance!”
