Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has swiftly disassociated itself from comments made by its Lok Sabha MP, Kangana Ranaut, regarding the contentious farm laws that were repealed following prolonged protests by farmer unions.
Ranaut sparked controversy by advocating for the reinstatement of the laws, suggesting that farmers should demand their revival.

However, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia promptly clarified that Ranaut’s statement was personal and not authorized by the party.
“Her views do not reflect the BJP’s stance on the farm bills,” Bhatia emphasized, condemning Ranaut’s remarks.
Ranaut, who represents Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency, made the incendiary comments while speaking to reporters.
