Agartala: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Tripura Puneet Agarwal on Friday visited Gomati and South District to review the preparations for counting of Lok Sabha polls.
In the morning, the CEO first visited the counting center of the Udaipur subdivision of Gomati district where he visited Udaipur Ramesh English Medium Higher Secondary School which is the counting centers of 30-Bagma (ST), 31 Radhakishorpur, 32-Matabari and 33-Kakraban-Shalgara (SC) assembly constituencies.

During the visit, he reviewed the preparation of counting centers and law and order issues. Besides, the Chief Electoral Officer visited the media center and the room designated for counting observers.
During the visit, the Chief Electoral Officer was accompanied by District Election Officer of Gomati District and District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, District Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, Additional District Magistrate Sumit Lodh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Udaipur Sub-division Jayanta Bhattacharya etc.
After visiting Gomati district, CEO Agarwal visited the strong room of the Shantirbazar Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office and inspected the counting preparations.

District Magistrate of South Tripura District and District Election Officer Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal were present during the inspection. After visiting the strongroom, the CEO met in a meeting to prepare for the counting of votes in the meeting room of Shantirbazar SDM’s Office.
The meeting was attended by District Magistrate of South Tripura District and District Election Officer Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, Superintendent of Police of South Tripura District Ashok Kumar Sinha, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Shantirbazar Sub-Division Abhedanand Baidya, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sougata Chakma and others were present.
