Imphal: As per available data till 3.30 pm, the Voter Turnout Percentage from two Lok Sabha seats in Manipur that went to Polls as a part of its first phase on Friday (April 19), has recorded a figure of 63.03 per cent.
This percentage is still likely to go up as at the time of compilation, data from some remaining polling parties from remote locations was yet to be consolidated, the official said.

The voting for the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat was around 67.7 per cent and the Outer Manipur LS seat reserved for the scheduled tribes was 54.6 per cent till 3:30 pm.
The polling started at 7 am and ended at 4 pm on Friday. Barring a few minor incidents of destroying electronic voting machines, and disturbing polling by way of gun firing causing injuries to a voter, the elections to the two LS seats were by and large peaceful.
The candidates vying for the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat are INC’s Angomcha Bimol Akoijam (Palm), BJP’s Thounaojam Basantakumar (Lotus), RPI (Athawale)’s Maheshwar Thounaojam (Nib with seven rays), Independent candidate Moirangthem Totomsana Nongshaba (Coat), Independent candidate Rajkumar Somendro alias Kaiku (Ship) and Independent candidate Haorungbam Sarat (Football player).

INC’s Alfred Kanngam Arthur (Palm), NPF’s Kachui Timothy Zimik (Rooster), Independent candidate Alyson Abonmai (Diamond) and Independent candidate S Kho John (Trumpet) are fighting for the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat.
Manipur has 60 assembly constituencies of which 32 Assembly segments clubbed in the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency which went together with 15 Assembly segments of the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency on April 19, the first phase of elections.
The remaining 13 Assembly segments of Outer Manipur PC would go to polls in the second phase on April 26.
