Sikkim Indian Army organises marathon

Guwahati: The Trishakti Corps of Indian Army is organising the first edition of ‘Sikkim Soldierathon’ – a hill half-marathon – on October 27, 2024 at Gangtok – the capital of Sikkim.  

The marathon is aimed at promoting sports tourism in the beautiful state of Sikkim as well as enhance the physical fitness amongst its populace.

Participants from all walks of life are invited to register themselves to take on a challenge in the stunning hills of Gangtok by choosing their distance – 21 km, 10 km or 5 km – and experience one of India’s most pristine tourist destinations like never before.

The run will be flagged off and flagged in at the Paljor Stadium traversing through the scenic city of Gangtok.

An expo is slated for October 26, 2024 at Paljor Stadium for distribution of the participation kit and goodie bag.
