All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director Randeep Guleria has said that consumption of non-vegetarian or eggs food doesn’t spread coronavirus.
“One can have all kinds of meats and eggs. But yes, as a health precautionary measure it is better to wash the meat properly before cooking,” Guleria added.

The AIIMS director also dismissed the claims that the intensity of coronavirus would go down and ultimately vanish as the temperatures increases.
“Impact of coronavirus is serious in every weather condition, whether it is the hot-humid weather of Singapore or the colder environment of European countries,” Guleria added.
He also said that consumption of clove or any other herbs does not offer any guarantee against the coronavirus infection.

He also dismissed the claims that alcohol consumption pre-empts the spread of coronavirus.
“To avoid coronavirus infection, I would advise all to wash their hands thoroughly and frequently with soap. In case you don’t have soap, use sanitizers,” he said.

In Assam, one youth from Biswanath district and one from Raha in Nagaon district has been quarantined for suspected coronavirus infection.
