This was decided at a meeting of the task force convened deputy commissioner Anoop Kinchi at his conference hall to deliberate on matters pertaining to Covid19 in Dimapur district.

At the meeting, Kinchi stressed the need for proper disposal of medical waste generated at home so as to avoid spread of the virus.

The Dimapur Municipal Council has been tasked to devise a special mechanism on this.

The task force members recommended to the higher authority for Truenat testing in all private hospitals and also for antigen tests of at least the high risk group of people.

Kinchi said the doctors are working for contact tracing to avoid community transmission. He appealed to the people to always follow the guidelines to stay away from the virus.

The meeting also decided that shop timing in Dimapur would continue from 9am to 2pm and appealed to the shopkeepers as well as the shoppers to adhere to the lockdown guidelines.

It warned the shopkeepers and public who do not wear masks would be penalised and more stringent action will be taken against those who repeatedly flaunt the guidelines.
