Nagaland COVID19 update: 21 new cases detected, 68 more patients recover

Nagaland has registered 21 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 4,128.

Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in a tweet on Saturday said the new cases have been detected out of 480 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

“Update! State reports – 21 +ve cases of COVID-19 out of 480 samples received,” health minister Phom tweeted.

Health minister Phom said out of the new positive cases, 8 cases each have been detected in Dimapur and Kohima districts, 4 cases have been reported from Mon district and 1 case has been detected in Mokokchung district.

“Contact tracing has been activated by our IDSP Team & all primary contacts are kept under self-isolation,” the health minister said.

In another tweet, health minister Phom said a total of 68 patients, who were earlier infected by COVID10, have recovered from the disease on Saturday.

“Update! State reports 68 recoveries of COVID-19 Patients,” Phom tweeted.

The health minister informed that out of the recovered patients, 34 are from Kohima, 25 from Mon and 9 patients are from Dimapur.

“However, all recovered patients will be kept under strict surveillance,” health minister Phom said.
