Mizoram has registered 8 new COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 566.

According to the data shared by the information and public relations, Mizoram on its Twitter handle, while 5 new positive cases were confirmed at the laboratory of Zoram Medical College and 3 other cases were confirmed during Rapid Antigen Test.

Meanwhile, 8 patients, who were earlier infected by COVID19, have been discharged from different Covid Care Centres in Mizoram on Saturday after they tested negative.

While 1 patient was discharged from the Dedicated Covid-19 Health Centre (DCHC) in Kolasib district, 7 other patients were discharged from the Covid Care Centre, Zokhawsang.

After the release of the 8 more COVID19 patients, the number of total discharged patients in Mizoram has increased to 296.

Mizoram currently has 270 active COVID19 cases.

With 48,900 patients discharged in the last 24 hours, India’s total recoveries from COVID-19 has reached 14,27,005.

The recovery rate, on a steady upward rise, stands at 68.32%.

The active cases, which are the actual caseload for India, stand at 6,19,088 on Saturday.

The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 43,518 people in India so far.
