Six relatives of the deceased COVID-19 patient of Meghalaya have been confirmed coronavirus positive.
Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma has confirmed this.

Sangma also took to his official Twitter handle to confirm the news. He tweeted:
‘Of the 68 tested so far, 6 have come out positive who are all family members & helpers of the first #Covid19 positive case. 6 other cases are being retested. All the rest of the cases are negative.’
Meanwhile, when asked about the funeral of the senior medical professional of Bethany Hospital in Shillong who passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday of COVID-19, state health minister A L Hek said a decision would be taken soon.

Sources, however, said the funeral would be conducted at the earliest as per the WHO’s COVID-19 protocol and Government of India’s guidelines.
The deceased doctor without any travel history is suspected to have been infected with the deadly virus through his son-in-law who is a pilot with Air India.
He had travelled to Shillong from New York.
Before arriving in Shillong, he was in New Delhi and had also visited Manipur.
