Twenty-three new COVID-19 positive cases were reported on Sunday as Meghalaya’s active cases reached 555, while 15 patients have recovered from the infections.

DHS (MI) Dr Aman War in his updates said that the 23 new cases include nine n East Khasi Hills, eight in Ri Bhoi district, three in West Khasi Hills, and one each in East Jaiñtia Hills, West Jaiñtia Hills and North Garo Hills district.

Dr War informed that 15 patients of which 14 BSF personnel, have recovered on Sunday.

The number of recovered patients has gone up from 94 to 109.

With 23 fresh positive cases, Meghalaya now has a total of 669 cases including 555 active cases, 109 recovered and five deaths.
