Manipur’s Covid19 recovery rate rises to 83.78%

With 358 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered Covid19 cases in Manipur reached 17,072 on Sunday, officials said.

Manipur’s recovery rate stands at 83.78 %.

The recovered patients are from 13 Covid care facilities including 275 from home isolation facilities, the COVID19 common control room in Imphal said in a press release on Sunday.

Out of 17,072 recovered cases, 14,498 are from the general population while the remaining 2,574 are Centre security personnel.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 242 persons from the general population and 1 personnel from Central armed police force were confirmed as new COVID19 positive cases.

The new COVID19 cases were confirmed at 19 testing facilities in the state.

The new cases from the general population are from Imphal West (129), Imphal East (35), Thoubal (20), Kangpokpi (2), Bishnupur (40), Kakching (4), Churachandpur (9), Jiribam (2) and Kamjong(2), it added.

In the last 24 hours, three males aged 58 years (Imphal East), 75 years (Thoubal) and 55 years (Imphal East) expired at JNIMS and RIMS hospital respectively, said the press release.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 20,376 while the number of active cases is 3,107, it added.

As of November 8, 4,42,441 people were screened at various entry points into the state, while 3,70,8154 individuals were tested for the disease.
