The Indian Armed Forces are also following stricter measures to curb the spread of coronavirus after a young jawan from the Ladakh Scouts was detected to be COVID-19 positive recently.
As per a report in The Print, the Army has set up multiple hand washing points for its personnel and had shut down non-essential stores and canteens inside the garrison.

Moreover, the Army has also restricted movement within the garrisons and troops are permitted entry there only if it is of utmost necessity.

Although the Army has extended leave to its troops across the country until April 15, the returning personnel will be subjected to rigorous medical tests following which to spend two weeks in the quarantine barracks.

The troops which show symptoms of COVID-19 will be housed in isolation barracks for two days and if their health doesn’t improve then they will be evacuated.
A few troops together will be served meals at staggered timings, to avoid crowding.
The Navy has also implemented several measures in an attempt to control the spread of coronavirus.
It has shut down non-essential offices and allowed its officers to work from home.
It has also restricted the entry of non-uniformed people into dockyards.

The Navy personnel who have been working in ships deployed in foreign countries will be quarantined for fourteen days on their return.
The Navy has also restricted entry of guests and domestic help into its residential quarters.
The IAF has also restricted manpower at workplaces to 50 per cent, while the other 50 per cent are working from home.
